With generic Yahoo! ID, that can be registered on any Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! mail, or Yahoo! portal, we can login to Yahoo! Messenger. By default, we can only login with one Yahoo! ID to Yahoo Messenger application in one computer. But, we can actually login to Yahoo Messenger with multiple user IDs from one computer. We need to modify the registry data.

The step-by-step tips how to edit registry so we can login with multiple user IDs to Yahoo Messenger application in one computer are:

• Go to "Start" - "Run" on Windows taskbar
  
  
  
• Launch Registry Editor by typing "regedit".
  
  
• Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> yahoo >> pager >> test on the menu tree. Then create new DWORD value by right-clicking on the registry editor.
  
  
• Rename the new DWORD value to "Plural".
  
  
• Double click the "Plural". Enter "1" in the "Value data" field.
  

Now you should be able to Login to the Yahoo! Messenger with multiple Yahoo! IDs. I have tried these steps on Windows XP and Yahoo! Messenger 10. It should be OK with other versions, just try it, and please share your opinions in the comment section below.
